CPTRH membership

Below are details of what members receive, who can join, how to join and the cost of membership.

Benefits of membership

Members of CPTRH get access to a regional network, receive a newsletter 2-3 times per year and receive a copy of the CPTRH (1999), Standards of Physiotherapy Practice in Therapeutic Riding.  There is also a members handbook.

CPTRH also run a Hippotherapy course annually which is in two parts: Equine module and Hippotherapy module.  The group also holds a biannual conference and AGM and a national study day is held in the year between conferences. Additional study days and practical workshops are also run by CPTRH.

Categories of membership

Full membership - open to all Chartered Physiotherapists.

Associate membership - open to occupational therapists, retired therapists and members of other professional bodies involved with therapeutic riding.

Student membership - which offers reduced rates to current students.

Overseas membership - open to physiotherapists working in this field in other countries.

Membership fees

Full membership - £35

Associate membership - £25

Student membership - £15

Overseas membership - £45

Membership is renewable on 1st January annually.
